Five ways to make a plural

  • en kakakakor-or
  • en bilbilar-ar
  • en kattkatter-er
  • ett äppleäpplen-n
  • ett hushusingen
  • En-word ending in -a: -or.
  • En-word ending in a consonant: usually -ar.
  • Ett-word ending in a vowel: -n. Ending in a consonant: no change.
  • -er has to be learnt with the word: katter, telefoner, stationer.
