Arbetsförmedlingen / arbetsgivaren
Work: from the job centre to the first payslip
Registering as a job-seeker, the Swedish interview, and reading what you were paid.
Step 1, free to read
Register with Arbetsförmedlingen on day one
Arbetsförmedlingen is the public employment service. Registering (skriva in sig) is done online with BankID or at an office, and it is the condition for most support programmes — and for unemployment benefit, which is why the date you register matters. Register on your first day without work rather than after a month of looking; nothing is gained by waiting.
- Step 2: A-kassa is not the same thing
- Step 3: The application: CV and personligt brev
- Step 4: The interview
- Step 5: The first payslip
