The short answer
In a Swedish tvättstuga, book through the building's board, key cylinder or app, start and finish within the stated time, remove all laundry and clean filters, machines and floor. Exact rules belong to the building, so its posted instructions always take priority over general custom.
Book before washing
The system may use a key cylinder, tag or app. A tvättid is your reserved slot, usually covering both washing and drying.
Check whether access continues after the slot. Some buildings allow extra drying time while others lock the door at the exact end time.

Use only your time and machines
Do not take a machine inside another resident's slot just because it looks empty. A late arrival does not necessarily cancel a booking.
Dose detergent for the machine and empty pockets. Rugs, shoes and heavily soiled items may be prohibited.
After moving in, also choose home insurance for belongings and personal liability.
Clean before leaving
Remove lint from dryer filters, wipe trays and sweep if required. Take baskets, detergent and every item of clothing.
Report a fault with the machine number and a factual description. Do not attempt an electrical repair yourself.

Resolve a clash calmly
Describe the problem first and ask for a solution. An angry anonymous note rarely improves the shared routine.
Say Ursäkta, jag tror att det här är min tvättid if someone is using your slot, then show the booking if possible.
For repeated rule-breaking, contact the caretaker or landlord with a photo of the posted rule, not of your neighbour.

- Only if the booking system or building rules allow it. Empty machines may still belong to an active reservation.
- What should I clean?
- Usually filters, detergent trays, surfaces and the floor. Follow the instructions posted in your room.

- It means the reserved time slot for the shared laundry room.
