The short answer
To turn separate A2 sentences into B1 discourse, learn four relationships first: cause with eftersom or därför att, consequence with därför, contrast with men, däremot or ändå, and addition with dessutom. Each connector belongs to a sentence pattern, so learn the full pattern rather than the translation alone.
Add and contrast without repeating och
Dessutom adds another argument: Dessutom är det billigare. Men gives a simple contrast, while däremot sets two facts against each other more explicitly. Ändå means nevertheless or despite that.
At the start of a main clause, dessutom, däremot and ändå fill the first slot and trigger inversion. Check the pattern on the Swedish V2 page.
Give a reason
Eftersom and därför att introduce a reason in a subordinate clause: Jag stannar hemma eftersom jag är sjuk. För can connect two main clauses, but its register and nuance do not always match English because.
After eftersom, internal order follows the BIFF rule. In eftersom jag inte kan, inte appears before the finite verb.
State a consequence
Därför introduces the result: Jag är sjuk. Därför stannar jag hemma. Because därför occupies the first position, stannar comes before the subject jag.
Så can also mark a result in everyday speech, but it performs many other jobs. Därför makes the logical relationship especially clear in a structured text.

Write five short sentences about your day. Join two through cause, two through contrast and two through consequence, then read the result aloud.
Reuse the same links in a Swedish writing exercise and in guided speaking. A connector becomes active when it survives both formats.
